Admission Requirements
Entry requirements and admission dates vary by program. Overall, the Office of Admissions brings the experience of more than 50 years to bear upon evaluating your application. Recognizing that no two applications, or applicants, are alike, the Office of Admissions uses a variety of criteria to judge if what we offer in our MBA program matches your needs, goals and requirements. We carefully consider your work experience, previous academic record, test scores, extracurricular interests, international experiences, letters of recommendation, personal essays and more. We then decide if Thunderbird is right for you. And once you're admitted, we ensure that your transition to Thunderbird is as smooth as we can make it.
Interactive Learning Environment
Whether in small discussion groups or in class, active involvement is demanded of students in our MBA programs, allowing them to learn not only from the faculty, but also from each other. Students interact in a multilingual, multinational setting. Distinct work experiences and cultural makeup of the class add to the diversity of the learning environment. Sharing ideas and real-world business experience, along with the exchange of industry knowledge, provides for lively debates.
Thunderbird's distance-learning Global MBA programs take interactive to a whole new level, providing a convenient format for students worldwide to attend class, participate in class discussions and conduct classwork via an interactive, Web-based platform. These programs allow students to learn across cultures and time-zones in the same manner international business is conducted everyday. Students also recognize an immediate return where new knowledge and skills obtained can be applied to their careers.
Scholarships
More than 68 percent of all Thunderbird students regularly receive some form of financial aid loans and/or awards to complement their own resources. Remember, different programs require different financial aid strategies. No matter what you're interested in—our Full-Time MBA program or one of our distance-learning or part-time MBA programs—if financial resources are keeping you from being part of the world's first, and best, school of international business management, contact us. We'll do our best to help you design a financial solution that meets your specific needs.
