Description of Learning Environment for Students

The MBA program provides a unique learning environment where you work closely with faculty and grow with your peers through shared academic experiences and extracurricular activities. The program offers coursework consistent with Cal Poly’s “learn by doing” philosophy and integrative learning.

The 1-year MBA accelerated program (10 month duration) provides a unique opportunity for students to fully immerse themselves in the Cal Poly MBA Graduate Program. Students can focus on academic and professional goals in the unique learning environment, work closely with faculty and grow with their peers through shared academic experiences and extracurricular activities - all within 10 months. The 1-year program is significantly less expensive for most students than the traditional MBA but requires that students devote 100% of their time to their studies.

The Traditional MBA Program provides students with scheduling flexibility by allowing them to spread out their studies over a longer period of time. This may in turn open up part-time employment opportunities or allow for more involvement in university and student club activities.

The dual MBA program accommodates and encourages students with a desire to pursue two graduate degrees simultaneously.
