Description of Learning Environment for Students:
The Moore School of Business' International MBA (IMBA) is a comprehensive master's program with a global focus. The program prepares students for today's competitive business world through a blend of academic and real-world experience. In addition to an internationalized core curriculum, students gain practical experience during a required four- to six-month internship with a global company, typically overseas. IMBA students study in the Global Track or one of the Language Tracks (Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese and Spanish).

The Global Track focuses on political and economic factors affecting the investment climate of various regions throughout the world. The Language Tracks emphasize these same issues, but in a specific language and culture. We currently offer Language Tracks in Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese and Spanish. All foreign language instruction is conducted overseas at partner universities and institutes. Students also have the option of gaining even more international experience by attending classes at one of 19 leading partner universities located abroad.

In addition to language and cultural training, students have an internship in a country where the people speak the language they have studied. All told, IMBA students spend at least seven months living, studying, and working in a foreign country.
