Military MBA and Monster Worldwide Join Forces
to Target Officers Ready for MBA.

SALT LAKE CITY, UT, July 26, 2005 - Military MBA and military.com, a Monster company, will work together this Fall to recruit military officers for MBA degree programs and prepare them to transition into new careers.

The sponsorship program:
  • targets officers with undergraduate degrees that have not yet earned a master's degree;
  • will reach 50,000 officers via email 3 times during the first flight of activities;
  • is scheduled to run August, September and October of 2005;
  • has built-in options for renewal and ongoing sponsorship.
"A common barrier to successfully recruit officers into MBA degree programs is locating where to find them. It's a high-yield market of students, but it's challenging to reach," says Greg Eisenbarth, executive director of Military MBA. "With sponsorship programs like the one we've structured with Monster, we'll be able to effectively reach officers at an opportune time in the development of their careers."

The program begins as demand for military officers with MBA degrees is rising. Research indicates officers with an MBA are experiencing multiple job offers from companies upon graduation with average compensation packages starting at $102,275/year, which is a 31% higher salary level than traditional MBAs receive.

Recent media coverage (the second most-influential source of information cited by military officers when deciding on an MBA) in the Wall Street Journal, BusinessWeek and Kiplinger's Personal Finance supports the value proposition of an MBA for military officers. And MBA schools such as McCombs at the University of Texas-Austin acknowledge, "Military officers are ideal candidates for an MBA degree."

As part of this program, officers will have the opportunity to receive useful education resources at www.militarymba.net. MBA schools can participate by calling:
